About Krysta Holterman
FUNCTIONAL ORTHOPEDIST
For more than a decade, Krysta Holterman has dedicated her career to helping patients recover, move, and thrive. As a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 12 years of experience in orthopaedics, spine, and neurology, she has developed a deep understanding of how the body functions, heals, and adapts.
Throughout her career, Krysta has cared for countless individuals—guiding them through injury recovery, surgical procedures, and chronic pain management. Yet over time, she recognized that true wellness goes beyond simply treating disease—it begins with prevention, optimization, and balance. With multiple family members being diagnosed with medical issues in combination with the average care of traditional medicine, her interest in diving deeper and getting to the root cause was even more crucial. This realization inspired her growing passion for integrative and functional medicine, where modern science meets whole-body wellness.
Krysta recently completed her Functional Nutrition and Metabolism Specialization, expanding her clinical expertise into the world of preventative and longevity medicine. She now focuses on empowering patients to take a proactive role in their health through personalized, evidence-based strategies that support optimal function, hormone balance, and vitality.
Blending her strong foundation in traditional medicine with her passion for lifestyle and nutritional approaches, Krysta’s mission is to help others move beyond symptom management and toward lasting wellness—bridging the gap between conventional care and holistic health.
With her vast experience in orthopedics she will be the primary lead for our new Regenerative Medicine program including PRP, Ozone, Prolozone & STEM cell injections. Krysta will also be taking over the Weight Management program as she dives more deeply into functional medicine. Currently she is seeing patients with oversight from Kimberly Handy, FNP-c our Functional Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in functional medicine and over 30 years of experience in medicine.
