WELCOME TO CAROLINA INTEGRATIVE WELLNESS
About Kimberly (Handy) Stalnaker FNP-C
MY MISSION
I practice individualized, whole person care. I am dedicated to finding root causes of illness to restore the health of my patients and improve their lives through integrative medicine. I have been practicing integrative medicine for over 8 years starting my NP journey in California. I moved to North Carolina in 2022 and set up my own practice. I have training in integrative medicine through A4M, IFM, Women’s Hormone Network, Apex Energetics, and IIVNTP and IV Therapy Academy.

My Story
I began my journey in integrative medicine after working 20 years as a nurse in multiple areas of nursing. My daughter had a sudden change in health that gave me the push to enroll in NP school. She was dissatisfied with the conventional approach to her disorder as she felt no one was listening to her. After seeing three endocrinologists, she was told her condition does not require treatment. Frustrated with conventional treatments, I took matters into my own hands which forced me to look deeper into her condition. It was the fourth endocrinologist that I was able to convince the diagnosis was wrong. I was right! I succeeded in discovering her diagnosis where conventional doctors failed. Since then it has become my passion to help others find root causes of their illness. I enjoy becoming a partner in your healthcare journey.
I graduated as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in 2015 and started my career in integrative medicine in 2016. I have completed integrative training through the Institute of Functional Medicine, A4M, Apex Energetics Mastering Thyroid and Endocrine Disorders, Great Plains Laboratory Organic Acid Testing, Allison Siebecker’s SIBO Pro Course, Kurt Woeller’s SIBO Mastery course. Additionally, I have completed training in BHRT through Women’s Hormone Network and A4M. My learning is lifelong. I accept a challenge and understand my limitations.
I am trained as a family medicine nurse practitioner and I am very comfortable caring for pediatrics as well as adults. I have worked with pediatrics my entire nursing career including pediatric medical surgical, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, family medicine clinic and pediatric emergency care. I am able to provide pediatric primary care or acute care from an integrative perspective. I take clients from 1 year to 100 years of age.
